Saturn square Sun
About every seven years, Saturn squares your Sun. A plan you care about meets a wall, and you find out how much you want it.
What it means
A square is friction. With Saturn square your Sun, the work takes longer and the praise comes later. You may feel behind people who started after you. The friction sorts your goals: the ones you still push for in month eight are yours.
The waxing square comes about seven years after Saturn crossed your Sun, and it asks for effort. The waning square comes about 22 years after, and it asks you to put down what you have outgrown.

In the app
Solstice shows this transit when it is within orb of your Sun. Tap it, and the card shows each part:
- Saturn. Saturn is structure, discipline, time. Where you build slowly. Often felt as a hard teacher early in life and a wise one later. The placement describes the ladder you are quietly climbing.
- Square. A square is a 90° angle — friction. The two planets want different things and won't agree. Reads as tension that pushes you to grow if you don't mistake it for incompatibility.
- Sun. The Sun is your core orientation — what you are trying to become. Less about who you are right now and more about what you are growing into. The sign of your Sun describes the project of your life.
