Neptune in astrology
Neptune is the planet of dreams, longing and fog. It stays about fourteen years in each sign, so its sign belongs to your generation and its house belongs to you.
What Neptune means
Neptune stands for imagination, faith, music, compassion and escape. Where it sits in your chart, you see ideals more clearly than facts. That is the gift of an artist and the risk of a person who stays too long. When Neptune crosses one of your planets, the old shape of that part of life goes soft, and a new one takes a while to show.
A planet found with mathematics
Urbain Le Verrier worked out where Neptune had to be from the pull it had on Uranus. Johann Galle found it there in 1846, the first planet found by calculation.
Neptune in your chart
Neptune goes around the zodiac in about 165 years, so no one lives through a full cycle. It squares its own place in your chart in your early forties. See Neptune square Neptune.

In the app
- Neptune. Neptune dissolves edges — dreams, imagination, longing, fog. Where it touches your chart, things blur: inspiring at best, confusing at worst. It asks you to feel your way rather than think your way.
